Le Claire, Iowa Speed Traps

Speed limit drops abruptly well before where you’d think coming into town from the South. Le Claire police sit on the West side of the highway waiting for you.

The trap is set up on the 35th St overpass,(last overpass before river) about 2 Miles before the bridge over Mississippi River on I80. Its always set up on the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend. The trap catches cars going eastbound towards the river on I80.

Speedtrap is run early mornings when people are on their way to work. I run this road every morning to work. BAD News
