Kansas City, Kansas Speed Traps
Going west through Edwardsville into Bonner Springs on K-32.
K-32 highway west through Edwardsville from the stoplight into Bonner Springs, there is often a patrolman on the south side of the highway near the convenience store and/or the storage facility. Sunday mornings, too!
Parallel Pkwy and I-435
If your west bound on Parallel Pkwy anywhere from 83rd street to I-435 approachinng the legends drive the posted speed limit. Police are running radar everywhere!
I-35 South between mile markers 232 & 229
During the overnight hours, Kansas Troopers park on the side of I-35 near this curve (and sometimes a mile or two before it). They will pull you over for anything and don’t cut any slack – fix-it ticket, speeding, failure to signal a lane change. Be aware! If there is anything wrong with your car, like a headlight out, avoid this area because they Will ticket you. I have seen, at times, 3 and 4 troopers waiting there.
47th Street near Rainbow Blvd. to Mission Road.
Radar trap on 47th Street (Countyline Rd) west of the Westwood police station. Patrol car is usually parked on one of the streets on the south side of 47th, between the Westwood police station and the Apple Mart on 47th and Mission Rd.
Roe Boulevard near Interstate 35
I don’t know what kind of radar they are using but going north on Roe right before I-35 and after Quicktrip, cops are always sitting there radaring both directions.
