La Grange, Kentucky Speed Traps

Cops will pull into the car lots that line 53, so they look like just another car on display, County and City police shoot K, Ka band. They also like to lurk in the public parking lot at the junction of 53 and 146, next to the library.

County and City (La Grange) Police are completly manic about patroling the strech of 71 betwen La Grange and Buckner, and to a lesser extent the two Crestwood (393, 329) exits. Use a wide variety of unmarked cars, a red T-Bird and Camero, plus officers on foot camped out on tall hills lining the interstate with radar guns, I’ve even seen a La Grange cruiser parked at a 35 degree angle on the steeply banked shoulder to the left of the road, just before Exit 22 (I-71 North).

County Police enforce 65mph zone very closely. Many arrests for DUI and drug possession on these stops. This is the major route between Louisville and Cincinnati.
