Farthing St between Cuba Rd and Food Giant
This wide street is posted at 25 with only one sign posting the limit nailed to a telephone pole. Cops hide in the nearby church parking lot and WILL stop you if driving 35 or more; the locals give no warnings. They also sit in the grocery store parking lot and watch for anybody that doesn’t come to a complete stop at the odd three-way stop.
10th street by JU Kevil
When turning right on to 10th street from Macedonia Road. The speed limit is 25 mph going past the cemetary on right. The cop will sit in the corner on JU Kevil parking lot & nail you if you’re not careful. It is hard to do but drive slow in this area.
Macedonia Rd between 10th st. & Highway 45
This appears to be a to be a typical rural road where you would expect the speed limit to be 45. But the speed limit is 35 and there is only one sign posting the speed going each way. This is a 1 mile stretch of road where speeders are caught on a regular basis. The local police sit in a field or driveway, out of view and catch anyone coming into town or going out.
Highway 45 N near downtown
Local police sit and wait for vehicles going Southbound near downtown. Speed limits drops from 45 to 35 then to 25. Main times are between 6:30 AM and 2:30 PM. The locals give no breaks.
