City Police sit in waiting back off Frederica St on Fairfax Dr. where you can’t see them till it’s to late most mornings during rush hour. The shift police officers never rest at this one!
Leitchfield Road from 2nd street to 18th street
This 2 lane connects several major streets and highways on the east side of town. 30 MPH with a school zone going down to 15 at one spot. Between 2nd and 13th (AKA Parish AVE) setting in buiding parking lots at angle that is hard to see: near railroad at 9th street. Also, other spots including the school zone.
US 60 Bypass right after Audubon Parkway exit
State Troopers have a tendency to sit in the U-Turn spot just past the Audubon Parkway exit heading west on the bypass. The overpass for the Audubon blocks your view from seeing them until it is too late.
Burlew Boulevard near US Highway Old 231 South
The speed limit is 30mph. It is between two roads, one a 35mph, the other a 55mph. When crossing old 231 going west there is a small hill. It is very difficult to not exceed 30 mph when turning off of 231 going down that hill. OPD hit my daughter and her husband both within a week for going 37mph down that little hill as they turned off of old 231. There is no speed limit posted on that section until you have traveled about 200 yards and then around a curve.
