Paducah, Kentucky Speed Traps
Lone Oak Road
Lone Oak Road at late night, 10-2, cops will sit on both sides of the road. Some sit at Supervalue, the church, and at the BP parking lot. If you go through here at late nights, be perpared to see one. I go through everynight at 11-11:30 during the week and see at least 2. Speed limits are 45.
Interstate I-24 near Exit Number 25
Between exit 25 and Exit 16, this area is heavily enforced. Especially in the area in the middle of the interstate where the police hide on the other side of a hill.
Beltline Road near Surplus City/Paducah Warehouse Furniture
Police often park in the parking lot of Surplus City/Paducah Warehouse Furniture so as you come up the Beltline from Southside, you can’t see them until it’s too late. They also like to hide in the parking lots of the used car lots and bars/clubs along the same road. Posted speed is 45, but most will allow 50.
Jackson Street near State Route 60/60/45 Business Route
The cops set on parking lot of Taco Johns and get you as you come down the street because it is all downhill and you get up to 45-50. The speed limit is 35 MPH but most do not pay attention.
Third Street near Reynolds Monument Co.
Coming from the Southside of town into the city be aware that the speed limit changes from 45 mph to 35 mph and very quickly to 25 mph as you get closer to downtown. Many people remain at 35 thinking that’s the intown speed limit, but it’s not. You’ll be 10 over the limit and get a ticket.
