West Point, Kentucky Speed Traps

West Point police love Dixie Hwy as they are almost sure to bag a speeder or two every day. The speed limit between the bridge over the Salt River and the railroad over pass just south of town drops to 45 from 55 on either side. They tend to try and hide on the road that goes into Fort Duffield or wait at the bottom of Muldraugh Hill for the folks running down the hill.

West Point is located on Dixie Hwy in Hardin County on the Jefferson County line. Small town cops looking for income. Watch out at traffic signal (Dixie Hwy and Main) for "decoy" police unit. Sometimes they actually put a cop in there. Best advice, maintain speed limit or 5 over through West Point and the next town south, Muldraugh.
