Baker, Louisiana Speed Traps

Portable electronic speed camera located on private lot just past Spur Road. Speed is 45 but drops to 30 without warning. Camera is located short distance from 30mph sign. Baker provides no notification that speeds are electronically enforced. Speed limit signs are few and far between. Be careful.

Goes from 45 to 25, there’s a camera in a car there,
and catches you before you have time to slow to 25.
This is a major highway, so I know they have posted 25
to write more tickets.

Baker police stand in front of the Baker Funeral Home near Walmart and watch for expired inspection stickers. They are here more often than not here. Have seen them many times and had two other people ask me if I had been through that area lately as they have been seeing the police here checking inspection stickers.

95 out of 100 days there is a speed van on Baker Blvd. just past the retirement home (if travelling east from Hwy 19 towards Groom Road). Travel this road everyday and can’t remember the last time it wasn’t there.
