Boutte, Louisiana Speed Traps
Hwy 90 between majoria’s supermarket & walmart
St. Charles S.O. works LASER in this 35 mph zone, usually "hides" in the Bingo Hall parking lot east bound on hwy 90. Laser only works stationary, thus the reason for parking and hiding.
State Highway Hwy 90 near Interstate 110 ramp
This is a four lane highway. Speed limits vary widely in an area (eastbound) between Raceland, Des Allemands, Paradis, Boutte, on through to Avondale. Next stop, Westwego (see listing). I think the lowest speed, with heaviest enforcement, is in Boutte. Max speed is 35 MPH, but with 4 lanes and with center turn lane, very easy to exceed.
US Highway 90 near Exit Number
Coming out of Boutte on Hwy 90 untill you get to the Raceland exit. I work Offsohore, and I travel this strech of Hwy every 2 weeks. These Patolmen know what days the Offshore workers crew change on, and sit and wait all along Hwy 90 and wait. I received a ticket for speeding, but i was following behind 4 cars, and there were 2 cars behind me. I was the one pulled over. Did I mention that I was the only one with a Mississippi liscense plate?. I could not understand why out of 7 cars, me being almost in the middle, I get pulled over. These Patrolmen prey on out of state cars. Just be aware.
US 90 between LA 52 (Paul Maillard Rd) and LA 3060 (Barton Avenue)
Through the business district of Boutte. It’s a five lane highway with a 35 MPH speed limit, which is hard to stomach when you are driving through. Troopers or deputies generally locate on either of the West or Eastbound lanes and set up radar. They catch a load of people.
