Hagewood, Louisiana Speed Traps
LA Hwy 117 (All 41 miles)
This is a long (and boring) stretch of two lane road that runs through the middle of the Kisatche National Forest. There are two problems here. First, the small town of Provencal six miles south of LA 6. The limit drops to a very low 25 miles an hour through town, and like most small Louisiana towns, they’ll get you. Second, the rest of the Hwy. There are three State Troopers that live on this road and they love to pull you over and give tickets. They regularly patrol this road and they will get you. Its tough to drive 55 even though some parts of the road are rather hilly and curvy (by Louisiana standards)because you are in the middle of nowhere and its boring. By the way I’ve gotten two tickets on this road and my ticket in Vernon Parish was much less expensive than the one I received in Natchitoches Parish which has considerably higher fines.
