Timberlane Avenue near Harvey Boulevard
Traveling either direction on Timberlane Dr. near the Davy Crockett Fire house there is a daily radar trap. This Trap is especially active during school days. The trap is operated by the Jefferson Parish Sheriffs Office. Plus, people picking up children at the private school park on the rightaway, causing extreme congestion, in both directions.
Airline Drive near Golf Course- Country Club
State Troopers sit in a driveway along the fence.
Westbank Expressway near Harvey Canal Bridge
Westbound on the downslope of the Canal Bridge. Been stopped twice by State Trooper. They’ll sit with Radar gun off, and hit you when you reach the crown, so it doesn’t set off detector until it’s too late.
River Road
Along River Road in Westwego. The cop shoots radar, but usually stops you by driving up behind you and pulling you over. The speed limit is 35, so just set your speed control and cruise along.
Erhart Expressway
East and west bound between Cleary and Orleans Parish line. Fast moving traffic averages 65-75 mph with posted limit of 50 mph. State troopers simply stake out a wide shoulder and pick off speeders on a random basis. They are on the scene 3-4-5 times a month.
