Officers of the Madison Parish Sherriff’s office and the Town Marshall of Delta, La. have radar capability. The town of Delta is a post office location directly across the Mississippi River from Vicksburg Mississippi. Motorist are unaware that they are even in the city limits of an incorporated town because of the rural farm setting. The officers use their radar to issue speeding tickets on the interstate highway that runs through their area. From Delta to the Mound exit, which is about five miles is a very lucrative area for these officials. If you don’t want to support their local government then stay well within the posted speed limit.
