If you come thru the area near Fort Polk, DO NOT speed through the town of newllano. It is a tiny town that you will blink and you are out of it. This town has about 3000 people and about 15 police officers. This town is crazy about speeding tickets. They will pull you over if you are going even one mile per hour over the limit. They will enforce tickets very highly here.
