US Highway 28 West/East near The entire highway
Louisiana state troopers patrol the entire 40 mile section of Highway 28 from Alexandria to Leesville, LA. There may be 1 trooper or there may be as many as 5 troopers in ten miles. Some four lane, some two lane. Speed limit should be 65 all the way but in the two lane sections it is 55 mph. Local parishes thrive on the speeding fines.
State Highway 112 near 112 between Union Hill and Carl Catfish Hut
Deputies and State troopers love this area. they find a good spot and take a nap and set their radar to instant on detect. It will sound a warning when a speeder passes a set limit. Most radars are Genesis Decatur or Hawk in Ka band. Hard to detect when on this deserted road late at nite.

Usually set traps on overcast days so as to hide the airplane. Especially like light rain days. Officers in cars hide behind overpass while plane circles above Got a ticket for 10 mph over speed limit $181.00 –no considerations by officer-state troopers but tickets paid to Rapides Parish Sherriff–
