Saint Charles Parish, Louisiana Speed Traps

a state police car hides in traffic on both sides of the road driving one way and shooting radar to on coming traffic the posted speed limit is 55 although (speeders) drive 65-70 thru this strech he will all so hide in the trees so be on the look out on most week days

I-310 toward Destrehan from Kenner. This interstate is littered with troopers but the most common place is arround the Airline Hwy (US 61) interchange. I see troopers frequently either under the overpass at Airline but mostly just after the on-ramp from Airline joins I-310. He is usually in the open and if you are paying attention you can slow down in time. Warning the speed limit is 60 on the elevated part of this interstate eventhough everyone drives 70-80mph. From Destrehan to Kenner in the afternoon I see frequent traps but not nearly as many as the situation listed above. Watch when coming on to the elevated part of the interstate… the speed limit changes from 70 – 60mph. Watch out for the exact mirror image of the first situation I described to happen in the afternoon just with less frequency.
