LA 10 at Spring Hill Volunteer Fire Dept. (between mile markers 1 & 2)
State trooper sits at the back corner of the VFD parking lot, nearly behind the building. As you approach from the West, he is hidden from sight until you reach the top of the hill, and if you’re not paying close attention, he’ll zap you with instant-on (Ka band). Speed limit is 45 in this rural area approaching Fort Polk, but traffic routinely does 55-60.
