Abell, Maryland Speed Traps
Hermanville Road
I got a ticket in this speed trap. Don’t go over 50 MPH on this road they often monitor it. Note there are just two speed limit signs for Hermanville Road, one on each end quite close to intersection so you don’t notice them after turning on the road.
Belle Grove Road
Law enforcement likes to hide in parking lots along this stretch of road and monitor vehicles for speed. I’ve noticed them on Sundays.
State Route 260
They are there on a regular basis. Morning, noon and/or night. They even started leaving an empty police car sitting on the side of the road. Guess we need to slow down!
Little Cove Point Road Street
This roads speed limit is only 30 mph, and should be raised to 40 mph. After being couped up in the Chesapeake Ranch Estates at 25 mph, people are starting to build up speed in anticipation of finally reaching route 4, and Little Cove Point Rd. does not have any homes close to the street. It’s an easy trap to fall into and I’m sick of driving slow because people can’t handle living on a road where the cars are allowed to move faster than a snail.
