*The whole town of Centreville is a speed trap* Dont go one inch over the posted limit! At any given time there is one town cop on patrol, and that’s all he does!
Trap#1) On 213N, the speed limit drops quickly from 55 to 25 as you come to town. He is waiting by the Delmarva Power office on the right. Just before the intersection of Rte 18.
Trap#2) On 305W, again, the speed limit drops to 25 quick. He is sitting on Walnut St (right hand side) just as you come into town.
I cant believe I lived there for ~10yrs and didnt get nailed in town.
Hwy 301 No. @ mile marker 99
Police hide in median and wave down speeders. Speeders are identified via radar from mm97 to mm99. Also spotter vehicles from Centerville north radio ahead to mm99 staff.
213 in and out of town, especially approaching from the west
The whole of Centreville is known for being a speed trap, especially for unsuspecting non-locals. Approaching on 213 from 301 is the worst, as the speed drops dramatically in the blink of an eye. The police are unusually vigilant, and for the most part, intolerant.
