Damascus, Maryland Speed Traps

It’s a white cylinder and camera on a dedicated permanent pole at this address 27008 Ridge Rd (Hwy 27). Got me on the south-bound lane.

27300 Blk ridge Rd. Did not see a speed sign but saw the Welcome to Damascus as I passed the sign the double flash. Never saw anything. I am from Virginia and that was a total surprise. Big Brother is watching.

Got nailed this morning by a new speed camera around Gue Rd and 27. It is north of where the original speed camera was on 27 before you get to left turn on Woodfield Rd.

In the early weekday mornings between 4 AM and 6:30 Am County Police sit on the side of the road right by Butlers Orchard. Slow down! This area is very prone to Deer crossing the road not to mention the ticket that you can recieve.

There are two speed traps and cameras that works both day and night as you approach Woodfield Elementary School on Woodfield Road/Rte 124. THe speed limit is 25 mph in front of the school.

The speed cameras and school are just past the cross street of Woodfield School Road. Woodfield Road/Route 124 leads north to Damascus from Gaithersburg. It is also reached coming south from Damascus on Woodfield Road/Route 124.
