Davidsonville, Maryland Speed Traps

Police often sit in United Methodist Church parking lot at night where they cannot be seen and/or at the Ruritan Club just past the church.

Officer will park on right side of westbound 424, approximately half mile west of 50, raise his trunk lid (so you can’t see the lights on his roof), and catch westbound speeders on 424 via radar. The speed limit is 45.

There was a cop the other day sitting on the shoulder at the stop sign on Rutland rd. He was shooting radar down towards the people driving into Davidsonville.

Sets up some mornings in the median just after the Bridge on US 50, facing the Westbound lanes. You can normally spot him if you look across the hill before you go down. The road dips and comes back up and he’s normally there.

Cops sit between brick walls at enterance of Tara on Conne Mara Drive. When you turn left on to Governor Bridge Road from Davidsonville (424) there is a hill. You gain speed going down the hill and by the time you see the police your caught. The speed limit is 30 and you actually have to brake to maintain that slow of speed. I have seen people lined up coming home from work.
