Finksburg, Maryland Speed Traps
Pilgrim Lane near Sandymount Road
Coming down on Sandymount Road from Route 140. Barely see State Troopers standing on feet while the cops car is parking alittle farther behind the hill by the electric box on your right side on the corner of Pilgrim Lane due to trees and hills are in your way.
MD 140 East/ Westbound
Police from a variety of jurisdictions, including Westminster, State, and County Police sit in multiple cut-throughs in the median. I’ve noticed this especially on Sunday mornings and at night. I was ticketed traveling 73 in a 55 at 11 PM on a Tuesday when an officer coming the other way made a u-turn. This is a long stretch of straight, four-lane divided road where the speed limit ranges between 50 and 55 mph. Traffic flows at about 70-75, regardless of time of day. Be extremely careful at night, especially on weekends.
Sandymount Rd
One Maryland State Police Cruiser has been spoted on Sandymount Rd 500 ft before you get to rt 140 during the school morning rush hours. PLEASE NOTE, THIS RADER IS USUALLY DONE SEVERAL TIMES ONLY DURING THE SCHOOL DAYS.
