Germantown, Maryland Speed Traps
Middlebrook Road & Amaranth (Criswell Auto & Med Access)
Montgomery County, Maryland Police (MCPD) seem to have added a speed trap at this location. If heading North on I – 270 and, take exit 13B towards Great Seneca Highway… you will come across this speed trap at the first street on the right. The cop sits back from where Amaranth intersects Middlebrook…up the hill
Waring Station Road & Summer Oak Drive
I saw two (2) Park Police Cruisers in the driveway of the child care center directly across from Roberto Clemente Middle School (18808 Waring Station Road). They were sitting between the sidewalk and the curb with no lights on, not even parking lights. If you are coming from the intersection of Middlebrook Road & Waring Station…slow down immediate after you pass the Forest Brook Road ? Leatherbark Road intersection with Waring Station. If you are coming from the area of the Gunners Lake, slow down when you see the pool on the left side of the road at the intersection of Wisteria and Forest Brook Road.
Sunoco Gas Station on Clopper Rd right before RTE 118
They sit there at night and wait for traffic to come over the hill coming North towards the 7-11 and Sunoco. They kind of hide behind the sign on the ground in front of the gas station and shoot radar.
Wisteria Dr between Waters Rd and Father Hurley Blvd
Laser trap, usually in the afternoon, shooting northbound Wisteria traffic from the office condo parking lot along the right side of Wisteria as you approach Father Hurley.
Another laser trap, usually in the morning, shooting southbound Wisteria traffic from the righthand side of the intersection at Waters Rd.
Richter Farm Road near Cormorant Lane
The cop car would sit right on Cormorant Lane aiming his radar at traffic on Richter Farm Road heading towards 119 (Great Seneca) from 118 (Germantown Road). There is no way to see him as Richter Farm Road curves along to Cormorant. Limit is 25 (no one on road) and I got nailed late SUNDAY afternoon around 3pm on the 1st of the month.
