Oakwood Road near Under the Power Lines
The officers like to sit nest to the power lines, near a large wooden fence, between Mackintosh Dr and Scotts Manor. This is 3 doors up from me… Ive spoken to them. They’ll sit there with trunks open, and pop people coming frim OldMill around the curve. The limit is 30, but will pop you @ 42MPH. So, slow down a bit
Interstate 895 near Interstate 895 spur to 97
they sit at the exit to 97 south, trunk up to hide the cars…usually 2 cars, 3 or 4 officers….out of the car with hand held radar guns. 50mph zone, don’t do 52….mean
Rt 176, Dorsey Rd, Pascal Senior Center
County Police set up in the parking lot of the Pascal Senior Center and scan the east bound lane of Rt. 176 (Dorsey Rd.). Many drivers come down the ramp off I-97 doing 70 mph and fail to slow before they reach the second traffic light which is right in front of the senior center. Ow!
East bound on Rt 100 at WB&A Rd
State Police set up under the bridge over which WB&A road crosses. About 1/4 mile before WB&A Rd, Rt. 100 widens into three lanes and you cross under another bridge (Telegraph Rd), then the road turns to the right. As you come out of that turn, you are in the trap. Police usually only pull speeders from the inside median lane. This is a real money-maker for the State and is backed up by roving unmarked State Police cars, usually Ford Victorias. To avoid a big fine, slow down as you pass under Telegraph Road. Occasionally, they move the trap over to the west bound lanes at the same spot.
