Hagerstown, Maryland Speed Traps
EB I-70 Over MD 63, Washington County
A very bright flash (@ 9:15 PM as I came around a curve. Thought nothing of it again, until the ticket came in the mail today with three photos of the rear of my car, and yes, featuring my license plate. I guess that explains the bright flash!
Bower Ave., off of Virginia Ave
Near Williamsport — It’s a 25 MPH zone but people frequently like to go 35-40 or even faster, since it’s just a straight shot from the beginning to the end of the road. Cops just sit there in the driveways, waiting for you to go over the speed limit. Never go above 35 MPH on Bower Ave! Cops are waiting, even though they frequently speed themselves! The road is to the left of the Rita’s on Virginia Ave.
Rt 11 after airport bridge
Cops love to sit just past the airport bridge where the runways are right before Tony’s Pizza and Showalter Road.
Dual Highway West after you come off the I-70 ramp
A cop sits on the right waiting for a speeder coming off the I-70 ramp or going west on Dual highway.
Edgewood going towards Funkstown
Speed drops suddenly to 25 mph. Cop is often on the right shoulder.
