Havre De Grace, Maryland Speed Traps
State Route 155 near Wakefield Drive
Eastbound from Havre de Grace towards Churchville, at the top of the steep hill coming out of Havre de Grace on Tre 155. The trap is just after the two lanes merge into one lane. By the time you have seen this trap it’s to late. The PD often use teams at this spot, ticketing a line of motorists.
State Highway 40 near Bridge
The Route 40 bridge is constantly patrolled by the Maryland Transportation Police. They together with state troopers, make this bridge a dangerous place to speed. Limit is 45 mph, reasonable speed in good conditions is 60 mph. The police will sit at the toll booth at the Eastern end of Rte 40, and trap motorists in both directions. You will often not seee the trap until you have been pulled over.
State Route 155
After you pass I95 heading toward Havre de Grace, the road descends into town with the speed limit lowering. Both town and sometimes state police sit at the Ambulance Building, a deserted gas station, or a laundromat. You have to apply brakes all the way down the hill to keep under or to the speed limit.
