Newburg, Maryland Speed Traps
US 301 State line to LaPlata
From what I found out. The Maryland Transportation Authority Police has a post of their people assigned at the Governor Harry W. Nice Bridge in Maryland at the Virginia/Maryland State line. They used to drive marked black cars however lately they are driving unmarked mustangs, camaros, explorers, motorcycles and unmarked crown vics. You used to know that when you saw the two black cars at the bridge you were safe to speed through. NOT ANY More. They are stopping everything and anyone. Watch for them or they will get you. One area of the road, before the toll drops from 55 to 25 and they stand in the plaza to get you as well. I git a ticket for 64 in a 55 and it coast me $65.00 dollars. So you know they are not playing or giving warnings.
Rt. 301 South
Trap is located approxiamtely 1 mile south of Glasva & Budds Creek Rd. (Rt.234). State troopers sit in a driveway off to the right and as you are coming over the hill, they have already clocked your speed. Usually 2 or 3 troopers are there making sure they have got you!!
