Severna Park, Maryland Speed Traps

Going West bound on Light St, from the Earleigh Hts Connector, about 200 yds on the right. A.A. County police shoot radar from a side street. It’s a wooded area so very hard to see them. The posted speed limit is 30 MPH, which is 5-10 miles less than it should be. This is a 1-2 mile stretch of rd, no curves at all, making it extremely difficult not to exceed posted speed limit.

I work shift work in Annpolis and leave at midnight. When I leave I go northbound on Ritchie Hwy and quite often on the right side just before the batting cage a police car sits right their waiting for you. I’ve got nailed both by the county and state police.

Unmarked Anne Arundel County police vehicles routinely set up on the southbound shoulder aimed to catch northbound drivers after cresting the hill from Benfield Road in this 25 mph area.
