Sykesville, Maryland Speed Traps
Freeter Rd between Rt26 and Buckhorn
Sheriff sets at the bottom of the hill in the local farmers driveway and gets you coming down the steep hill in either direction. 30 mph speed limit……..better you ride your brakes.
The intersection of Sandosky Rd & College Rd
Sandosky Rd is a hill that will take you from Rt 32 into downtown Sykesville. The speed limit is 25mph, but it is very easy to go much faster. Watch for police sitting on College Rd right in front of the Stone Mission Store. They will pull you over!
All along Obrect Road, between routr 32 and ball fields
State Troopers, Sykesville police, and County, have all taken their turns on this small bit of road. Must be quite productive as I have seen more folks pulled over in this area than anywhere else in the Sykesville/Eldersburg area.
White Rock Road near Brass Eagle Court Street
In the Sykesville, MD area – heading South on White Rock road from Rt. 26, just past Brass Eagle Court heading up a small hill where the speed limit goes from 40 to 30mph, the cop sits in a church parking lot on the rigt at the top of the hill.
