Urbana, Maryland Speed Traps

Speed Limit on this section of road lowered from 50 to 40 in the last year or so. Frederick County Sheriff now frequently sits in this section, all hours of day/night, looking for revenue.

Near the bridge that crosses the stream near Urbana Pike (355), a county cop is nailing people as they go south down the steep hill. It’s 30 mph in that section and 35 mph before, which means a lot of people are going 10+ mph over the limit as they go down that hill.

By Urbana elementary school there are always cops. The worst is at night when you don’t even think of it being a school zone. Sometimes they hide behind bushes in the school’s parking lot, very hard to see, but rarely are they not there.
