Bay City, Michigan Speed Traps
Keisel Road near Euclid Avenue
East of Bangor Jr school near trees on north side of road
Trumble Avenue near Independence Bridge
In the middle of Independence Bridge there is a parking spot for the bridge attendant. Every morning between 4am and about 9am north bound there is a cop sitting there that you won’t be able to see until you make the bend leading up to the bridge. I’ve gotten a ticket here and I have seen many others.
Henry Street
Henry St. in Bay City is always being monitored by officers for speeders. The speed limit on Henry St. from Salzburg to just south of Wilder is 25 mph. This is the perfect place to catch people speeding at any point during the day and the officers certainly do monitor traffic regularly.
15 Trumbull Street near Columbus Street
Heading south, Trumbull turns to Tuscola just past the curve and into M-15, with the speedlimit increasing from 25 to 35 just past Columbus Street, then to 55 past the intersection at 22nd Street. Officers seem to be looking for motorists who are increasing their speed too quickly leaving town, or not slowing down soon enough for those coming in (heading north). Not sure where they hide, but I’ve seen three cars pulled over in this strectch of road within a half hour period.
Lafayette Street near Garfield Street
Police use private parking lots of businesses or church from Michigan Ave. to Broadway Ave. to sit in, with there lights off and lay for you and wait. They were observed here between 12/2004 and 3/2005.
