Brighton, Michigan Speed Traps
Grand River Ave, north of Main St
The police camp at Grand River every night pulling people over for going 40 in a 35, or allegedly not coming to a complete stop for 3 seconds at a stop sign. It’s $145 for going 1-5 mph over which is ridiculous. Don’t bother with the corrupt county court – officers don’t need to present any evidence other than verbal testimony for the Judge to rule in their favor. Guilty until proven innocent in the eyes of the county Judges.
Winans lake road
Heading east on Wynans Lake between Rickey and whitemore lake service drive. Green Oak police hide in the drive of a new development. Coming down a hill you tend to pick up speed. There are no business’s or house’s in thus section.
Kensington Road Overpass at I-96 Exit 151
There is sometimes a police officer trying to catch speeders on the Kensington Road overpass over I-96 going northbound towards the Metro Park entrance.
Kensington Metro Park Entrance @ 1-96 Exit 151
The police will generally hang out just inside the Kensington Metro Park entrance at night with just side marker lights on waiting for someone to blow through the 4 way stop at Kensington / I-96 Westbound on/off ramp.
Just East of Grand River Exit in Brighton
Just recently saw a state trooper hauling down 96 east of D19 of course with no lights on, then a few miles up he was literally hidden behind the Brighton Grand River Exit sign, out of the vehicle behind the sign standing there taking radar. You will not see them till it is too late.
