Chesterfield, Michigan Speed Traps
Interstate 94 near 23 Mile Road
Troopers will sit in the abandoned rest area between 23 Mile Road and New Haven road and get traffic coming at them. I’ve seen both directions (the old rest area is on both sides of the freeway) and sometimes they will radio ahead.

Chestefield Township Police park in gravel apron off Northbound Sass Rd 300 ft North of the intersection of 23 Mile Road. Usually a white unmarked traffic cruiser. Speed limit is posted at 40 mph due to moderately set back single family homes. Speaking to the neighbors 4 mph+ will get you a citation.

Gratiot Avenue near Hickey Road
This road used to be a 55mph. Speed has been reduced to 35mph with 1 SIGN going south only, none for northbound.
Gratiot and Cotton Rd.
Cotton road Running between Gratiot and Jefferson. When you first turn off from Gratiot onto cotton rd. (heading East) there is a stretch of road that runs to the I94 over pass. There is no posted speed limit until you get to the bridge. The Bridge has a reduce speed to 35mph at the top. This is the point they will pull you over if you are going over 35. Usually the cop follows you from behind at the begining of Cotton Rd. up to the reduce speed sign. I know this because I had a cop follow me up to the sign, when I didn’t go faster than 35 he turned around and went back.
