Clinton Township, Michigan Speed Traps

Kelly rd speed limit is 40mph between 15 mile rd and Faulman, then it drops to 25mph at the school zone between Faulman and Penrod. A patrol car is waiting to hand out tickets there quite often.

6:00 pm weeknight – in major traffic Pulled over and ticketed for 60 mph in a 50 mph zone. Impossible at that time of day to even hit 40!
Definitely a money-maker.

At night near Steeplechase. He sits with his lights off at the bend. 5 MPH over now costs $120.00!

Officers sometimes wait between homes or empty lots to ticket those going over the 35 mile speed limit. It is an open stretch for them to easily ticket those going even a few miles above the speed limit. Also, beware of a stretch on Millar that drops from 35 miles an hour to 15 mph without warning. You are an easy target.

There is road work N of 16 mile and The township will put out barrels from the curb south of 16 mile and seeing the speed limit has dropped from 45 to 35 for 3/4 mile they will give you a ticket for speeding and double it because they now say its a construction zone. hahaa they pull the barrels back in the evening and start this over around noon the following day. I have watched this over & over for the last month.
