Farmington, Michigan Speed Traps
Liberty Street near Grand River Avenue
Farmington PD is sitting there all the time running radar for cars going north. I also see several "dummy" cars out in the open used to slow down drivers.
Grand River Avenue near Between Orchard Lake and Farmington Rds
Farmington PD will Hide in the American Legion Parking lots after hours, its strip mall next door and along other stores and side streets mainly at night time. Speed Limit on Grand River Ave is 35 MPH, Except between Power and Shiawassee Roads where the Speed Limit is 25 MPH. Due to the complaints filed with residents, the Police is doing a High Enforcement in that area.
Power Road near Between Grand River Avenue
Police monitor from Subdivison Streets and Gas Stations for speeders, its 25 MPH in that area. Due to Shaiwassee Park and School Zone.
Drake Rd. just south of Grand River
Speed limit 25. Cops sit in parking lot for small park on east side of road. Often there is a machine with a speed radar reading placed on the side of the road. Sometimes the cops sit on the side of the road. This speed limit causes backups on this road during the after-noon commute (south). The speed limit is 35 near 9mile but drops for no apparent reason when you cross the overpass before grand river. It’s real tough going south on that road to not break the limit cause my car rolls faster as its somewhat downhill. I personally know 4 people who have been ticketed here.
