HPD will wait near the bottom of the little hill for eastbound traffic, where it’s very easy if you don’t watch it while you’re going down that little hill to go above the 35 mph limit.

Cop sits in dark parking lot across from Hardee’s near the bottom of the large hill. This is where the speed limit lowers from 45 to 35. Many people will coast down the large hill and not slow down soon enough. They will also get people heading west out of town that speed up before they hit the 45 zone.

Campus and town police sit on side of road past small hill near Michigan Tech sign. This is where you need to slow down from 45 to 30.

Cop sits in credit union or fire station parking lot and watches for people blowing the 4 way stop, especially at night. Also watches for speeders going down hill to east.
