Ithaca, Michigan Speed Traps
US-127 at or near the Ithaca exit ramp
Minor road repairs, closing one lane. Either no signs, or 45 mph signs only.
This does not meet MDOT guildlines for Maintenance Work Zones.
State Road/S. St. Johns Street near Fillmore Road Street
As you ‘cross’ the City Limits of Ithaca(Fillmore Road, running East and West) the speed limit is 45 MPH. As you rise on a very slight hill, the speed drops to 25 MPH because you are approaching a ‘school zone’ that is not typically marked. The school is located to the left or West of you, slightly out of site on Webster Street, which forms a "T" at St. Johns Street. So the officers ‘catch’ you between Webster Street and the railroad tracks (parallel to Webster) that you will cross in less than 2 blocks distance.
W. Washington Road
Entering city limits from west side of town. A series of closely located reduce-speed signs with young cops patrolling.
US-127 North just past polk rd exit
There are three places they sit within a 1/2 mile of this exit: Just as you crest the hill going over polk road they sit on the right side near the onramp. There is also a turn around just past that they sit in. Then just after that there is another overpass that they will sit just on the other side of.
