Monroe, Michigan Speed Traps
Dixie Ave (West of I-75) by R & M Recycling
Dixie Ave was recently redone to take 4 lanes down to 3 (center turn lane) with bike lanes on both sides. The speed limit was 45 MPH. It has been lowered to 35 MPH. The road still feels comfortable at 45 MPH and the police are cashing in on this. They sit in front of R&M Recycling. Two driveways are connected and make a perfect pull in – pull out. It is next to a fence and a line of trees, which their cars blend into. Since the new road set-up I have driven on it maybe 30 times and have seen the police parked there twice.
