New Total Unmarked traffic car (Burgundy Ford Taurus) gets you on radar or hand held Laser, then marked patrol unit, which is parked out of site, pulls you over and issues ticket. Same car is used for "Click it or ticket enforcement" also. Speed drops from 45mph to 35 mph, just North-east of Chesterfield Twp border.

This is rebuttal to the comment before this in regards to the alleged speed trap on washington street. For everyone’s information, the speed limit when entering the city is 45 (posted) then drops to 35 (again posted) and then to 25 (posted) just before entering the small town of New Baltimore. For those people who can not see the big white speed limit signs, please stop driving on the road, I do have a family that drives on the same roads. Another issue is the school zone, yes, the speed does drop from 35 to 25 WHEN THE BIG YELLOW LIGHT ON THE POSTED SIGN IS FLASHING! So for those people who feel that washington is a speed trap, think again, the city of New Baltimore is a small town and the speeds are fitting to the area…If you feel that the speeds are to restrictive, drive somewhere else like a maniac! So the next time you drive thru the city, please take a look at the speed signs, hopefully the city can put neon lights (vegas style) on the signs for your lack of observational skills while operating a motor vehicle!

State Highway 29 near County Line Road

Although not exclusive to p.m. rush hour (I was busted on an early Sunday morning on my Harley for 5 over), heading eastbound after you cross County line Rd going into St. Clair County. The speed limit goes from 35 mph to 45 mph on a 2 lane curve down to 1 in about a 1/2 mile. Another 1/2 mile down it jumps to 50 mph. There is a sign posted that St. Clair County Sheriff patrols there but it is always New Baltimore cops who I see sitting behind Green St. Tavern or on the side of church the next block up.
