Usually a Sherriff in a black cruiser. Frequently in the morning but not limited to. Sits facing west for traffic coming over the state line. Can be in any of several locations, the closed Beachwood Restaurant, the truck parking lot, the boat storage lot or the Dancing Feet Yoga lot.

Downtown New Buffalo on 239 (La Porte Rd.) off Highway 12
Posted speed goes from 45 mph to 25 within a few hundred feet just North of Interstate 94 on La Porte Rd. (239) heading into downtown New Buffalo. Local police cruise this stretch of road looking for out-of-towners not familiar with the rapid change in speed limits and will stop and ticket you for going over!
