Pinckney, Michigan Speed Traps
Dexter-Pinckney Road in Pinckney MI
Just as you cross the bridge on Dexter-Pinckney Road on the way to reaching M-36. High taxes and lower than low home values not enough. Let’s add a speed trap!
McGregor Road near Dexter-Pinckney
Washtenaw County sheriff patrols wait somewhere along the stretch of McGregor that is in Washtenaw County because the speed limit there is 30 miles per hour. As you go along McGregor in Livingston County the speed limit is 45, so it drops 15 miles per hour.
They wait there daily, especially the morning and afternoon commutes with folks heading to Ann Arbor. I see someone pulled over there daily. The cops are having a field day with the increased traffic volume on McGregor due to the detour!
Rush Lake Road near Pettysville Road
Police set up at the park 1/2 mile from Pettysville on Rush Lake Rd. Off and On during summer months.
Pinckney D-19 Road near Village Edge sub entrance
I live here in Pinckney, and see many drivers pulled over when the speed limit drops from 45 to 35, at the bottom of the hill just passed/ or before Village edge sub entrance.
This happens between the hours of 5pm until late into the night. So mind the speed limit signs, from 45 to 35 and then at 25 near the Christian school.
Pearl/ D19 Street
PPD hide in the depot parking lot or at the church to catch speeders as they come into town usually in the morning.
