US-12 is 45 mph through Somerset and Somerset Center. Somerset TWP police are very active in enforcing this. They also have a favorite non-speeding violation. That is "failure to stop before leaving a private drive". This is used as a means to stop "suspicious" vehicles.

Speed zone ahead sign is very close to where the speed limit starts. Sign is just over a break in the hill, so you will not see it until your crest hill. Officer set just pass the speed limit sign.
