The officers are mostly looking for people running the stop sign. They will sit either at the dead end looking for speeders or up LaGrange looking strickly for people running the stop. Be careful. The road curves in such a way that they will see you long before you see them.
18 1/2 mile Roundabout Circle near Across from Ford Mo Co
Officer parks either in the entrance to the car dealership across from Ford Mo. Co. or in entrance of Junkyard and waits for traffic off the loop. especailly when the plant shifts are changing.
Shoreline Road near Hayes Road
The officer sits on Shoreline off of Hayes, which is a feeder road to Lakeside Mall. He is located in a driveway on the south side, between Penna’s and the mall. The speed limit is posted at 25 mph, which is unreasonably slow for this type of road.
17 Mile Road near Dodge Park Drive
Several semi-marked police cars in a variety of colors, but primarily black or dark blue, sit on the shoulders of 17 Mile Road running radar and monitoring the traffic signal at Dodge Park during the school start and dismissal times. Very strict enforcement of the speed limit!
Canal Road near Between Sterritt and Van Dyke
Speed limit drops from 40MPH to 25MPH when heading WB on Canal, just before Van Dyke. Area is residential and the police will often park behind other parked cars, obscuring visual sighting of them.
