West Bloomfield, Michigan Speed Traps

I see it almost every morning for years …. As you are driving east or west on Maple Road, between Inkster and Middlebelt, there is a large hill (an obvious point to exceed the speed limit when going down hill). There is golf course on the North side of Maple where a police car usually sits, at the side of the road with his lights out.
There is a 45 MPH speed limit, which is reasonable, but it is easy to exceed that on this road. However, watch your speed when driving here, especially in the wee hours of the morning until about 6:30 AM weekdays.

The police hide in the parking lot of the school. Sometimes they have an empty police car parked in the front of the lot. THe limit is 25. They will nail you in a second. I have gotten a ticket att 5:30pm in the evening when there is no school or event in session.

Cop is facing North waiting for Southbound traffic. He sits in the entrance to the condo complex. As you head around curve he hits his laser. It is also down hill and speed limit is only 35. I got pulled over going 54…since I knew the cop he let me off. Phew..lookin at a 4 pointer.

I just Got Pulled over a Few days ago in West Bloomfield Township by a Maroon Camero, It is a very sneeky car. Tinted windows, Fog lights, Every reason to think its not a cop car. From behind all you can see is a license plate with an X in the middle, its the only way to spot it. it is not marked, WATCH OUT! The west bloomfield police also have Chevy Tahoes and Jeep Cherokee Sports, they are marked, but at night you can’t tell!
