Stillwater, Minnesota Speed Traps
State Highway 95 near Oasis Cafe
Speed limit drops from 50MPH to 40MPH and it is hard to see at night. I live in Stillwater, but was pulled over by a Bayport cop who said I was speeding. Is that even legal? Not only is he not in his city, but he’s enforcing traffic laws on a Highway, which is suppossed to be enforced by State Troopers.
State Highway 36 Chestnut St near State Highway 95/36 Main St
This is not a speed trap, but rather a stop light trap! Cop sits on Main St, just south of Chestnut St, catching all of us Wisconsin commuters trying to get to work on time. I have seen him several times, where he sits, it is impossible to see him until after you already snuck through the "pink" light. He takes no smart talk. I will give him credit though, he has found the perfect spot to sit and watch the light, he has a very clear view of everything that is going on, all the while being totally hid from potentional red light runners. He got me once, I learned my lesson in Stillwater.
Greely Street near Lilly Lake
The cop’s sit a Lilly Lake and stand out side of there car and use there gun’s to clock people
Myrtle Street near Ramsey/Grove Park
Cops will sit at the bottom of the hill. They get cars going w/b down the hill & e/b coming out of the 50 zone. This is a residential area, and it’s right next to a popular park, they have no sense of humor here.
Greeley Street near Lily Lake
There is a downhill grade traveling southbound or northbound approaching Lily Lake and the cops sit in a parking lot on the west side. The cop that is usually seen there is young and probably aggressive.
