Jackson, Mississippi Speed Traps
State Street near Interstate 55
Officers sit at railroad tracks and use radar on cars coming over the bridge, down a hill and around a small curve where at the bottom of this hill is the next speed limit sign and they are more than 100 yards away trying to clock you. To stop you they stand in the middle of the street and point for you to pull over. It’s a joke! and if you don’t slow down and go around the traffic they let you go on… but if you are honest and slow down thinking there’s been a wreck, well guess what, you are getting a ticket. Don’t try going to court to fight it, the officer will come to court and say.. yeah, I remember her/him… and it’s been over a month ago! And they wonder why out of town people are getting scared to shop there, it’s getting to the point that we are even afraid of the police.
