Arnold, Missouri Speed Traps
State Highway 55 near church Road
shooting laser radar from a bridge 75 ft above the hyway which is over a 10 degree angle at less than 250 yards from the bridge
I-55 between Richardson and Jeffco/Arnold exit
During construction they imposed very high fines for speeding. the fact is that this area had more open lanes and was a less dangerous area which didnt really justify 250 plus fines. I guess they got so used to the money they have to keep it up. Interestingly, this stretch leaves out alot of the town’s citizens. I would rather just see state police patrolling (they now are) than a hick local police force.
Jeffco Blvd, near the courthouse
At the bottom of the hill on Jeffco opposite the courthouse, cops seem to like to hide behind the supports of the railroad tracks. So when you’re driving northbound down the hill away from St. John’s church on Jeffco, you don’t even see them until you’ve passed the tracks.
