Columbia, Missouri Speed Traps
On Clark Lane by Hinkson Creek across from Steak & Shake
One cop on his motorcycle. He was checking for speeding and light signals for people coming from Clark Ln. west to turn on US63 right.
While I was at the restaurant and he gave 8 tickets during the time of my meal from 12 to 1PM.
Oakland Gravel Road Northbound heading from Holly ave.
You’ll be tempted to coast down this road- it’s just a hill. I was able to clock around 40 mph at the bottom. Sometimes CPD will be waiting at the bottom behind houses waiting for drivers to speed. The normal limit is 30 mph. Hope this helps.
Brown School Rd and Kirsten Ln.
Boone County Sheriff sits on Kirsten Ln (hidden by hills) and will run radar for East and West bound traffic on Brown School Rd. Speed Limit is 40 mph and is consistant with pulling people over.
College b/w stadium and Rollins
Campus PD sit in the drop-off outside Shurz. He uses laser and mainly focuses on people that are going northbound. The speed limit is 35 mph, but most people cruise at 40.
Providence Road near Stadium Boulevard
Coming down the big hill on Providence, heading towards Stadium, there is currently construction going on for the expansion of Champions Dr. The speed limit for the construction zone is set at 40 MPH, but poorly signed, just a little yellow sign under the sign indicating one lane traffic ahead. A columbia police cruiser is waiting for you on Champions Dr. Fines in construction areas are steep, don’t speed here.
