Crestwood, Missouri Speed Traps
Sappington Road
Sappington road between Eddie and Park Road and Old Sappington, the cruisers sit at the bottom of the apex in the road, the speed limit is only 35 due to residential area and schools, nearby but the road is deceiving being a open 4 lane so if you are not from the area you will get caught off guard there, Crestwood has a lost tax base due to loss of Crestwood Mall and several other major stores has made a lot of the major roads in the community ticket crazy! Be careful there!
Sappington Road in Crestwood
Surprising that none of the previous comments mention that that on Sappington Road in Crestwood there are two large Elementary Schools with pedestrian crossings, and there is also a heavily used recreational trail crossing……Yes, at times Crestwood P.D. does have patrol cars in that area running radar and issuing tickets, but most of the times it is during the school hours and I think it is well justified. The speed limit on Sappington Road is 35 mph, but during school hours it drops to 25 mph in the school zones (which is indicated by a flashing-yellow-light 25 mph sign).
Sappington Rd to Old Sappington Rd
Abruptly changes from 35 mph to 25 mph. They are sitting in side streets waiting.
Sappington Road near Various Avenue
Officers sit in patrol cars on side streets and nab the speeders.
Watson Road near Crestwood Mall
Once you pass the intersection of Watson and Elm going west you enter Crestwood and the police go all the way up to Sunset Hills. There are many stop lights so people may run red lights, but there are many parking lots and they hide in there too. You have to be careful the Speed Limit is 40.
