Des Peres, Missouri Speed Traps

Besides having speed blocks in the road lane they are now located on the side of the highway all along the road from Manchester Rd to Dougherty Ferry Rd. You can be clocked at any point along this stretch of highway now.

Lindeman heading south to Dougherty Ferry, Sit around the Lillian intersection. Do not roll thru stop, they get people there daily during rush hours

Rolling hills and places where the pavement widens from 2 to 3 lanes provide hiding places for Des Peres finest to hide and catch motorists going either north or southbound on this stretch of Des Peres Road. I’ve observed them running radar from both cars and with a motorcycle in this stretch of road.

The police will hide behind a large sound retaining wall, just before you get to Pointe Drive off of westbound Manchester Rd. (less than 1/4 mile east of Barrett Station Rd.)

Dougherty Ferry west of I-270 always patrolled by Des Peres Police, especially between interstate and Barret Station Rd. St Louis County patrols between Barret Station and Big Bend Rd. Usually cars are marked and on shoulder in either direction although they sometimes use side streets of nearby subdivisions. Also, traffic lights in area short cycle so police may be near lights monitoring intersections. Speed limits may not always be strictly enforced but red light enforcement is strict.
