Olivette, Missouri Speed Traps
I-170 between Exit 2 and Exit 3
A LEO located on the overpass between Exit 2 (Delmar) and Exit 3 (Olive Blvd) on I-170 is using a stationary radar gun, and relaying instructions to patrol cars located on I-170. This was spotted on a Sunday Morning around 8:00 am. The LEO with the radar gun is located behind foliage on the edge of the overpass and is completely invisible from I-170.
North and South Entrances to I-170 going through Olivette
For last week have entered I-170 going southbound and found 2 Olivette police cars stopped two cars every day At the same time I saw a northbound Olivette police stop a car on I-170. Assume they are hitting both northbound and southbound. Driving east on Olivette before reaching I-170 no Olivette police cars around. They are using at least 3 on I-170
Olive Blvd between Price and Warson before Daylight
Have seen many people stopped on Olive Blvd in the early morning before daylight. The police seem to be sitting in one of the many strip mall parking lots in the dark. There is not much traffic on Olive at that time so they seem to be taking advantage of that and the darkness.
Price between Old Bonhomme and Olive
At the electrical station south of Olive and north of Old Bonhomme.
State Highway Olive Blvd. near Dielman Road
There seems to be a car sitting just east of the intersection monitoring traffic almost every night. I don’t ever see anybody pulled over, just that car sitting there. I don’t know if they actually run radar, but the car seems to slow people down.
